Admittedly, Halloween is not my favorite holiday. I know the kids love it, but I have a really hard time getting into it most years.
Last year I bribed the kids with cupcakes to skip trick-or-treating and the whole costume routine and I thought Halloween was just fine without the hullaballoo (the kids, however, are still on the fence about that). This year, thanks to my sister-that-I-love-like-crazy, I am going to have a little ladybug, a little bumblebee, and a little butterfly and we will be doing some trick-or-treating.
To make up for last year, I've been surprising the kids with a few Halloween treats this year. There have been Banana Ghosts and Clementine Pumpkins in the lunchboxes this week and some Pumpkin Waffle Ghosts at the breakfast table.
These waffle ghosts are super easy and the kids thought they were amazing - total mom score! The Pumpkin Spice Waffles are mighty tasty too.

Birthday cake flavored stuff seems to be pretty popular these days...how about bday cake waffles with the colorful sprinkles 🙂
