What are you're plans for the weekend? We are going rollerskating at a skating rink and it's going to be so much fun! I plan to follow that up with a good Christmas movie (maybe The Story Lady ?) and a batch of these Vegetarian Slow Cooker Enchiladas. Hope you have a good weekend and here are few great links from around the web . . .
You can find my recipe for these delicious Vegetarian Slow Cooker Enchiladas over on Craftsy. Stuffed with barley, corn, and black beans, you won't even miss the meat!
I really loved this 14 minute film on Gael Towey & Co profiling artist Maira Kalman, whose books and work I've adored for years. It's filled with nuggets of Kalman's creative wisdom and I watched it three times because I loved it so much. She says, "Walking is another way of getting out of yourself in the best possible way because you really do get swept up in what's around you." And also, "The best ideas, the smartest ideas come from those moments when you're not trying." I agree.
What are you good at as a mama? Sometimes we just need a little perspective.
Brush up on your World Geography. We've been having some good fun with this site.
I have been obsessing over this photography project: Forty Portraits in Forty Years. It's so moving, so genius, so haunting.

These enchiladas look scrumptious! As a college student, slow cookers are my best friends. I will definitely try this recipe. (My mouth is literally watering right now thinking about making this recipe!)
