Free Printable Valentines to Color based on the super fun book, I Love You Like a Pig by Mac Barnett and Greg Pizzoli. Read the book, then let your kids make their own fun art to share!
My favorite Valentines are the ones that involve my kids in the process. It may be faster for me to buy the Valentines, but the kids don't have nearly as much fun. I want them to be the ones that make and give the Valentines.
The best way to get my kids excited about preparing Valentines for all their friends and classmates is to include them in the design and execution.
We recently checked out this adorable book from the library: I Love You Like a Pig. It was written and illustrated by a slam dunk team! I love every book Mac Barnett has ever written and Greg Pizzoli's illustrations have been a hit around here ever since we got a hold of his Watermelon Seed book. This book turned out to be yet another winner.
It's a silly book (as you might have guessed from the title), but that just means my kids adore it. It had my three year old giggling on every page! Turns out, it doesn't have to make any sense for a kid to have a good laugh. (Have you heard a 7 year old make up their own knock-knock jokes?!)
While my kids were giggling though, I was thinking that this book would make the cutest Valentine. And that was the beginning of these Free Printable Valentines to Color.
With the help and enthusiastic input of my kids, I made these fun Valentines. The best part is that the kids get to do the illustrations all by themselves. They can take a cue from Greg Pizzoli's pictures in the book, or use their own imagination. My kids had fun doing both!
There are 4 different designs based on the book:
I Love You Like a Pig
I Like You Like a Tree
I'm Happy Like a Monster
You're Funny Like a Fossil
The book, I Love You Like a Pig by Mac Barnett, makes an excellent Valentine gift for parents and grandparents to give. Paired with these Free Printable Valentines to Color, it's guaranteed fun!
Add your favorite Valentine candy and you're all set!

These are adorable! I love your girls’ drawings! So much more personal then store bought cards. I think my kids will love drawing their own versions too.
