I love reading all the funny things kids say! My little Rory is full of laughable quotes. Here’s a few recent favorites.
This kid turned FOUR last week! I can’t believe it’s already been four years, but I also can’t imagine life without him anymore. Rory is the life of the party, always ready with the dance moves, the jokes, and the heart melting smiles.
He holds my hand when we’re walking and he’ll reach over and kiss it, EVERY TIME. He has my whole heart, forever and ever.
Funny Things Kids Say
I’m terrible at remembering to write down all the funny things he says, but when I do, they’re gold.
Here are few that I’ve written down recently:
After church on Sunday
Grandma: What did you learn about in Primary class today?
Rory: Grandmas and Grandpas!
Grandma: What did you learn about Grandma’s and Grandpas?
Rory: That you’re old and you’re going to die.
Grandma: . . .
After picking him up from a play date with a friend
Me: Did you have fun?
Rory: Yes, and I didn’t do anything suspicious!
Me: Anything suspicious?
Rory: Oh, I mean, I didn’t do anything mischievous!
At my friend Robin’s house
Rory brings over a drawing (indecipherable scribbles) and hands it to Robin.
Rory: I drew a picture of you!
Rory: Here’s your head. Here’s your hair.
Takes picture back and stares at it hard for a minute.
Rory: Oh! I think you’re naked.
While his sister is tickling him
Rory: Stop sneaking into my armpits!
And now, I vow to be better about writing these things down more often!
Gosh, I sure do love this kid.
That first picture of him is the best!!
He’s hilarious and oozing personality!
I loved reading this! And know the love of having a boy!! They are wonderful!! I wish I would have written down more of the sweet things my son said at that age. He’s now 15 and will be grown before I know it!
I read your blog that you wrote when you had him and loved how you shared your life with everyone at that moment. How courageous you must have been!! In the mist of the darkness you had a miracle!! Thank you for sharing your story! ♥️
Ah, yes, the naked picture! I remember that one. Miss him and all the joy he brings.
