We’re sharing what we’ve been doing around town here this summer!
Hi there! How is your summer going?
June here was pretty relaxing with strangely cool weather for this time of year. We’ve made a few trips up the mountains, but mostly we’ve just been enjoying Albuquerque.
Here are a few photos, if you’d like to see.
We’ve been enjoying the new splash pad at Civic Plaza in ABQ. It’s perfect in the evening!
And afterwards, it’s always nice to take a little evening stroll downtown.
Esme and I stayed at a Girl Scout Camp in the Jemez and although it was freezing cold at night, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Of course, there have been plenty of trips to the pool. AND, our lovely neighbor gave the kids hundreds of water balloons. Afternoon water balloon fights are becoming a summer day ritual over here.
We went to a Shakespeare in the Park performance – Romeo and Juliet by the Vortex Theater Company – and it was fantastic!
We’ve been to the Albuquerque Aquarium, and to see the Butterflies at the Botanic Gardens. Five star outings.
All in all, we’ve been having a wonderful time. How about you?
That third photo makes me smile so much!
❤ She’s such a fun kid!
