Everyone at my house is a big fan of a good mystery! We read a lot of mysteries over here so it was both easy and fun to put together this list of our favorite mystery books for kids.
These are fantastic page-turning books to read aloud, hand to a mystery loving kid, or listen to on audio. There's everything from murders and missing person cases to art heists and treasure hunts. A mystery for everyone!

By Kate Milford | 5 books in series These are my favorite mystery books for kids on this list! Milford crafts such a phenomenal story and excellent mystery in every book of the series. In this first book, it's winter vacation and Milo is glad there won't be any guests at the smuggler's inn his parents run. But as the weather outside gets worse, unexpected guests keep arriving with flimsy excuses for why they are there.
